Perfectly Pink and Hamster-Approved!
I bought the pink CritterTrail for my dwarf hamster, and she absolutely loves it! The bright pink color is super cute and makes her setup feel fun and vibrant. The cage was easy to assemble, and the plastic is sturdy and well-ventilated. I’ve connected it to several other CritterTrail and Habitrail units, and the modular design makes it really easy to expand and customize.The built-in wheel is a nice touch, though I replaced it with a silent one to keep nighttime zoomies quieter. It’s definitely on the smaller side as a standalone cage, but when combined with others, it gives my hamster plenty of room to explore and play. She especially loves the tunnels and often naps in the top dome like it’s her royal lookout.If you’re planning to use this as part of a larger setup, I totally recommend it — it’s cute, functional, and makes a great piece in a connected habitat kingdom! I would not use this as a sole cage.Rating: 5/5

Cute, stable, spacious.
PROS:• Very cute, has a kawaii vibe.• Translucent hot pink frame, baby pink bars.• Instructions were easy to understand.• Comes with a food & water dish.• Very secure & stable.• Super easy to clean.CONS:• The door is on the smaller side so it’s difficult to handle the animal housed inside or rearrange the cage’s interior. You’ll have to take the top half off which can be annoying since you’ll also have to pop out the tunnel as well.• The door’s latch is held together by a spring which isn’t very secure. It moves side to side and poses a potential risk of catching whiskers, nails or fur if your furry tends to bite at things.• You’ll have to lightly oil the wheel every now and then to ensure silence.• The water bottle is tiny so you’ll likely have to refill 2 to 4 times a day depending on your critters thirst. (Update: I have two mice in this and I refill the water bottle every two-three days, not 4 times a day. I exaggerated a tiny bit, haha.)• Can be difficult to assemble for younger children. (Not because of instructions but simply because of the cage, if that makes sense.)• If you use this cage for traveling you’ll have to carry it with both hands as there are no handles on the sides or at the top.• If you plan on extending this cage you’ll have to use othee Crittertrail accessories in different colors, so if you like one color theme then it’s going to be difficult to do so with this cage.Overall, I recommend this cage. I personally love it and think that it was a wonderful purchase for someone who’s wanting to invest in a nice additional cage!I would like to see if Kaytee would ever consider adding handles or even additional expansions (Tubes, etc.) in the same colors for us who love pink! And I really, really, hope to see a change in the cage’s door/latching system.Update: I have 2 female mice in this cage currently and not only do I prefer this cage over my 10 gallon aquarium but so do my mice. I’ve had this cage for a little over 2-3 weeks and my mice are thriving. I said that this was probably best as a temoraory cage but I honestly believe that this cage could be a long-term home for my mice. Highly, highly recommend this cage. I was worried about how small it was at first but after having it for a few weeks I am absolutely in love with it. Like I said, I only have two small female feeder mice in it and I do feel it could house up to three. (No more though!) You’re able to fit 3-4 small toys/chews comfortably and my mice absolutely adore the nesting bin. 10/10, totally buying another for my next set of mice and an extra in case I ever need one!

So I got this particular cage because I really wanted a pink cage and this one is 1) completely pink compared to most other cages that come up when searching “pink cage” and 2) it can be expanded unlike all of the options.ConsIt was a little difficult to put together (only reason i did not give 5 stars). the wire sides simply would not snap together so i zip-tied them. it truly felt the lid was going to crack when putting it on. the tube to the upper apartment also feels like its going to break when removing it.i did have trouble with the wheel. it seems to heavy for the wire bars to support it. the wiring would sort of buckle under the weight. it would just scrape against side of the cage when turning, creating horrible rattle. i fixed it by placing a small piece of cardboard between the wire bars and the lip of the plastic bottom to push the wire side tighter against the back of the wheel (see picture).the water bottle is crap. i threw it away.Prosit’s pink! lol. its super cute and quite durable on e its put together. its a decent size for one or two mice or a hamster. i would not keep a rat in it or anything bigger than a gerbil. i have 1 African soft fur rat (technically a mouse) in it and he has just enough space to be content. however i would connect a second cage for more space if i had a bigger dresser. in the bottom i have a hide and a sandbox. i have a ceramic water dish that attaches to the side. and i added a bridge, one wooden platform, and a hanging hide that he can also lay on top of to give him a second layer.Notessome reviews say they had trouble adding decor or have trouble cleaning it cuz the door is so small. i do not have this problem. the upper apartment (petting zone) comes out easily and its nothing to scoop up the used bedding with a small scoop and paper towel it down before adding new.my boy LOOOVES the upper apartment. he practically lives up there, lol, so thats where i put his food dish (i have a heavy ceramic one he cant tip, i tossed the plastic one that came with the cage). like best feature and ive never seen it in any other cage.tldr: great cage, my boy is quite content. definitely recommend.

this is too small of a cage to house any small animal. the minimum amount of floor space for a hamster is 450 but with a much deeper base as they are burrow animals.

Llegó en buen estado, fácil de armar aunque el instructivo no ayudo mucho. La compre para dos ratones blancos y les quedo bien de tamaño, considero que para un hámster seria pequeña. Para su limpieza lo mejor es desarmarla toda para poder lavar bien toda la jaula.
