This is a miracle. Seriously. My dog kept getting ear infections/ yeast overgrowth and nothing was working. When someone recommended this product to me, I was willing to try it, but not expecting much. First thing I noticed was how effective it was at removing all the ear gunk out of my dogs ears. While I was being consistent at using this product (maybe once per month or as needed) my dog never had any ear issues. Last week when I was bathing him, I realized I hadn’t cleaned his ears for a while, and I was horrified when I looked inside, and his ears were bright red (like really red). I immediately put the solution in his ears and cleaned his ears out real well and within one day his ear looked significantly better. With each day that went on his ears were better and better. This literally saved me a vet trip and hundreds of dollars I didn’t know how well it would work once the ear was so bad but it literally was a miracle!!

My very floppy eared beagle flipped over her ear and to my horror it was torn up; red, swollen & very irritated. She obviously had an infection and had been scratching at it. I felt terrible I didn’t notice it sooner. I bought the zymox otic because it’s a cleaner and treatment all in one and has hydrocortisone which I knew she needed badly to bring down the swelling from scratching at it. The medicine is a clear watery gel, something I wasn’t expecting. I thought it would just be liquid. The gel works great though because it suspends in place so you can really get to every little fold and crevice inside the dogs ear. I started with the outside of the ear cleaning as I went with cotton balls. Once I had all the little pieces of scab cleaned up I went for the ear canal. It says to fill the ear canal with medicine and then wipe away. I filled it and then massaged the ear to make sure it went deep enough. I then tilted the dogs head the other direction and let it drain out and wipe wipe wipe. The next morning was a big difference!! It was looking a lot better. I was still nervous though what if it didn’t work. When we woke up the 3rd morning I checked her ear and it looked so good I had to do a double take to make sure I had the right ear. I can’t recommend this medicine enough. We are continuing treat. It says 7-14 days but looking at these results I think a week will be plenty. I just wanted to leave this review to help other dog and cat parents. This medicine treats fungal and bacterial infections using 3 types of enzymes so you are good to go using this either way. I highly recommend! Worth every penny!Update* after reading some of the 1 star reviews I just wanted to add that it is always best to have your animal evaluated by a veterinarian. Some animals may need an antibiotics to treat an ear infection and this treatment may not be enough. Also if you see that your animal is suffering from any adverse reactions it is best to stop the medicine and have them evaluated medically immediately. Just like with humans, some medicines can have side effects that can be severe. Not all medicines work for everybody or everything 100% of the time. People and animals alike can be allergic to certain ingredients. It is best to closely monitor your animal whenever they are taking a new medication whether prescribed by a vet or bought over the counter and even when it’s something as simple as a topical medication. This medication worked great for my pet but I do check my dogs ears weekly because she’s a floppy eared breed. More than likely I caught the infection very early when she was symptomatic for only a couple of days. This may have contributed to how successful the results were for my dog. On day 4 now and all symptoms are gone, however I will continue to monitor the ear for up to 4 weeks to make sure the infection doesn’t reoccur. I’m very sorry to the pet owners who had adverse reactions to this medicine and that you didn’t share the same experience myself and many others had with this efficacy of how well this product worked. Your reviews are the reason that I felt it necessary to remind people that medical intervention first is always best.

There is hope for dog’s ear infections!
My 6 year old lab has had ear infections since she was a pup. I believe, unfortunately, it’s common in dogs with floppy ears. We go to the vet for ottomax and antibiotics and they help but never stop the issue. It is frustrating to go to an appt where it costs hundreds of dollars for tests (that come back inconclusive) and be told you can’t have the ottomax without the test. Last week her ears got really bad and I was going to set up for an emergency visit. I did a google search and then looked on Amazon and read all the positive stories about Zymox. I knew it would take a couple days to get in (even for an emergency) so I placed an order with Amazon. Since i have prime i placed the order and it arrived the next day. Only supposed to use it once a day. Followed the instructions and put the syrup consistency product so it went into her ear canals and then gently rubbed. No pain, no upset, no mess. She shook a little after which was fine since you should wipe the excess after. You are not supposed to clearn the ears before or after treatment. After an hour of it being in her ears, I looked and OMG….there was so much brown icky stuff that had come out of the ear canals which I cleaned up. The next morning her ears looked so much better and no icky brown stuff any longer. I used it yesterday morning, and again no awful discharge. This morning (day 3) she was very patient and lied on her back so I could easily put the med in. It was night and day. Her ears acrually look great this morning. I will continue following the protocol of putting in her ear once a day through day 7. I bought two containers just to be safe and was happy to see the shelf life is a couple years. I know it’s only a couple days, but her ears are looking great and she was a happy, playful puppy this morning. Far less than the vet and not at all stressful or painful for her. UPDATE: Today is day 6 i put the med in her ears….they look perfect, but i’m following the instrutions to the letter. I am absolutely impressed. We’ll see what happens in a couple days when the med app stops.09/6 ..been close to a month and I’m absolutely overwhelmed. After 1 week of using this product..my girl has had no infection or red ears at all. This is a pup who’s had chronic issues since being a pup. I can’t save enough about how in a wet awe of the outcome. She’s even happier than ever!! I hope others will try it and have a good result too.

Easy to administer and it works!
Amazing solution. My poor Goldendoodle was miserable with, I believed, were ear mites. After using a product for ear mites for the suggested time frame, he still had more head shaking and whimpers. Didn’t help. Did a bit of research and ordered Zymox. Wow, no more head shaking or little whimpers, and he is back to his usual goofy, silly self. Great stuff.

In my opinion, Zymox makes the best ear products for dogs. My Shar Pei is prone to ear issues, and Zymox is the gentlest and most effective cleaner. Massage in gently and when your pet shakes it out, the dirt will just fly out with it. My vet reviewed the ingredients and was pleased. I’ll always repurchase

It works miraculously .. my fur-baby is 12 years old and he was suffering from inflamatory and painful ear conditions with yellowish discharge sometimes for over almost six months. I consulted many vets and they only used to prescribe antibiotics which I did not like .. the effect of Zymox is just amazing .. his ear condition improved since the first day of use only and I am posting this review after an use of over 3 months … I am totally impressed and Zymox is indeed a saviour…

Tired so many ear fungal infection medicine made in India, but nothing seems to work. Finally after some google search what exactly the problem is, I figure out that the infection was “yeast infection” and this is the only medicine I found for the solution with good rating. It really work after using 4-5 days…
