Surprisingly High-Quality Build — Powerful Cleaner, Just Be Mindful in Smaller Tanks
I wasn’t expecting this kind of build quality at this price point. The AQQA Multifunctional Electric Gravel Vacuum feels solid the second you take it out of the box—no cheap plastic, no loose parts, and the motor has real strength behind it. I used it last night on my 10-gallon tank, and it pulled debris out of the gravel better than any manual siphon I’ve ever used.The only thing to be aware of is the size: in a 10-gallon tank, the collection bag attachment takes up more space than you’d expect. It works perfectly, but you do have to pay attention to how you angle it so the shower bag doesn’t tip over the rim while you’re moving around. Not a flaw, just a matter of tank size vs. tool size.Once you get used to the maneuvering, this thing is a beast. Strong suction, multiple attachments, easy assembly, and the whole unit feels like it’s built to last. I’d absolutely buy it again.Highly recommend — especially if you’re tired of flimsy gravel vacs. This one’s the real deal.

So Disappointed 🙁
I have NEVER had to write a bad review for any product. I avoid it, honestly. But I guess the time has passed on this product and honestly, this is so messy. I literally just tried it for the second time, hoping to give it a chance (I’ve dreaded using it ever since the first time) and it was AWFUL. The shower is all over the place and makes the whole thing hard to maneuver in my tank. This said it would be fine for the size tank I have. Let me tell you: Absolutely not. The nightstand my tank is on is flooded and my tank is still a mess, after several desperate attempts to use the suction tool for the gravel. I’ve even cleaned the little sponges, hoping that would keep preventing any blockages, in case that was the cause of the lack of suction.I read the directions over and over, and I know I assembled it right. That, or I’m going bonkers! My poor fish is in this filthy tank and this isn’t the first time a gravel vacuum has failed me. I just thought that they were cheap and therefore, you get what you pay for. This was expensive for me, and I can tell you now that I regret the purchase.I had such high hopes for this…Now I have to rush out again to a pet store and buy a cheap one and cross my fingers that it’ll work and siphon properly like it should. My first one worked fine, and it was cheap. The next two didn’t do anything, and this barely gets anything up at all!Super sad :(Is there something I’m doing wrong? I swear, I read everything and searched for an explanation and uses. I don’t know…$45 down the drain…

**Updated** even though I had my return time pass, the seller sent me a replacement for my faulty tank cleaner. I have now tested it in all 3 of my tanks and its working fantastic! I will update with video or pictures later after some time passes.Bought this 3 mo ago and have only used this only a handful of times since I have others I use with more ease. The stick is really long and the base doesn’t allow for full function. The motor gives out and it stops suctioning as much, literally slow, too slow to remove any debris. Purchase something else, this item just isn’t good enough for the money. Manual one would of been better and I could of had more than a couple for the price of this item.
