Installation and Maintenance

Post-placement Maintenance: There may still be slight yellowing initially. It’s advisable to change the water twice a week during the first few weeks until the water stabilizes.

Every piece is a banger out of two orders of xl panna and hornwood and one xl spiderwood
I’ve ordered all three of these offerings from Landen; xl spider wood, xl panna, xl horn wood. I’ve also ordered thier Icelandic lava stone to build up on the ones I’ve purchased from a proper aquascaping store as well as thier red lava stone. The quality is absolutely phenomenal on all I bought. I loved it so much I immediately bought a second set of panna and hornwood. The hornwood, from what I can tell is also known as as pacific wood as I have a very large collection of pacific wood and they are exactly the same so if you have pacific wood you’ll know. Every piece of wood (especially the panna and hornwood) is so striking, full of detail and texture, and great shape and size. It’s rare to order hardscape online and have every single piece be an absolute banger. Even in my second orders of panna and hornwood were all absolutely amazing bangers. Trust me, any of these three are excellent quality pieces. I am an avid aquascaper for the last 10 years. I have about 30 high end rimless aquariums, paladariums, I build terrariums and wabi kusa as well. I’ve been collecting and building my hardscape supply over the last decade and have enough stone and wood to fill huge hdx 27 gallon bins stacked floor to ceiling completely filling a 5x7x8 foot storage space. I’m always on the hunt, and always buying even when I’m not working on a project. I make a few large purchases a month so I can speak from experience that this driftwood is absolutely amazing (especially the panna and hornwood) and their Icelandic lava rock is full of detail and has great variety of sizes especially for the price. The red lava rock too was great, only one piece that was meh, but I’ll break it up to use as detail or in bags under my aqua soil. I don’t ever use red for aqua scaping, but will for wabi and terrariums. It’s good, get it.

Gecko likes them
Nice sizes and qualityz didnt use them for an aquarium though, used them in a 18x24x36 enclosure along with shaved spray foam and drylock for my giant day gecko. Shes always using them to lay on, especially the one right under the heatlamp and uvb lamp

Full of character and reasonably priced
As a rule of thumb, I don’t buy driftwood from either big box pet stores or mom-and-pop stores. The reason is, they are way overpriced.I generally purchase wood from EBay, however, I came upon this seller and decided to try them out. I was not disappointed whatsoever.The pieces I received were perfect for the 55-gallon planted aquarium project I had in mind. They have plenty of character and are about as large as described.As with any driftwood, it is suggested to boil the wood first to release the tannins. Sadly, I didn’t have any pots or pans large enough to accommodate the larger pieces for boiling, so I basically just put them all in my sink (under hot water) and let them soak for a day or two. After they stopped floating, I placed them in my tank.To counter the small amount of tannin seepage, I put a bag or two of Purigen in the hang-on-back filter (I use that one to polish and clarify the water, while the Fluval X2 canister filter handles the bio filtering). Within a day, there was no trace of browned water.I will surely use this seller for my future aquarium projects. I couldn’t be happier.

You’re getting a fair deal for what you get!
Of course the pieces I received are not like what’s pictured, but you know that going in. I was hoping for pieces with some swoopy bends in the limbs. That said, it does seem like a fair deal for the pieces I received versus what I paid.Not being able to see what you’re getting, though, makes it on the line of being “fair” for the price. I sort of want to order again to see if I can get pieces I like, but also that’s a lot of money to gamble with when you don’t know what you’re getting. I’m struggling with my current scape so I’m just not finding the perfect piece (not this seller’s fault!)Pieces are clean and good weight and good size. Color of this spider wood matches the spider wood I am currently trying to scape with.At this price point, it’s a fair deal. If it was less expensive, it would be a great deal and I’d order more…but I think I need to see what I’m getting for that cost. So unless the price comes down, I likely won’t order again.

Glad I risked the purchase.
I have gotten burned so many times by ordering spider wood in the past I was gonna give up. I spotted this while scrolling along and decided to take a gamble after a few days of arguing with the voices in my head. I am not disappointed . This stuff matched or exceeded the description. This will look fantastic when I start assembling my hardscape. Looking forward to taking another risk for once when I order the Panna for another tank next week.
