Finally…….a decent looking bunch of artificial aquatic plant-life…….
I’m old, and have been into tropical fish/aquariums/breeding/and raising a lot of fish (primarily different species of angel fish.) I was always concerned with the “looks” of my tanks and strove with many various types of aquatic plants to enhance the beauty/appearance of the set-up. In that “look-back,” I always turned my nose up to the ridiculus, fake offerings of aquatic plants’that were available to “Fish people.”I recently ordered some plastic plants from a site on Amazon…….because the photo “looked good,” and I was curious. Bottom-line, these are really good…….great color, good size, and well weighted. I’m gonna’ buy more……. T.

Sturdy and safe for clumsy fish
These are lovely fake plants. I needed something soft for my blood parrots, who love to bolt from one side of the tank to the other and sometimes tear their fins on the decor. They love to swim through these streamers without issue, so now there is something to safely break the line of sight without shredding fins. The price was great, too, especially for so many! They’re all one length, so it doesn’t look very natural, but at least they stay in place and can handle fish pulling at them.

I wanted to add more decor to my 20 gal freshwater aquarium to give my fish more places to hide and play without spending a ton of money. This item is excellent for the price, but there’s a few things worth noting so you know what to expect.The construction is your standard plastic aquarium decor – maybe slightly thinner which is not a bad thing. I wouldn’t call it soft, but I can’t see it hurting any fish even if they like rubbing against the foliage.The plants are a vibrant light green that will stand out. My kids say they are radioactive given how bright they are! Personally, I like it standing out in my tank, but I can also see others may not like the color being so bright.The base is a little lighter compared to other weighted plants I have, but still wouldn’t have any issue staying on the bottom. I bury the base into the sediment anyways and it doesn’t have any problem staying in place. If I didn’t bury them I imagine my two catfish would be able to push them around the tank.The plant anchors are secured to the base by hot glue (see picture). As mentioned above, I bury the base under the sediment so I don’t have any concerns my fish will try to eat it…though I don’t see why they would even try. Some of the plants had a thin string of hot glue that needed to be removed which was super simple. I just used my fingers to rub it off. As expected from a mass produced product and not an issue given the price point.Overall, I highly recommend these plants as the price can’t be beat and the quality was better than I was expecting.

Very vibrant color. They move nicely in the aquarium with the water flow. The biggest issue is they don’t stay in place well.

Looks really cool and they are really long so they take up a lot of space in the tank which is good if your trying to fill up your tank, I got the red ones cause it matches my tank better but the green ones would probably look more natural and give the real plant look.
