OMG. I hardly ever leave reviews, but I need everyone to buy this.
As someone who struggles to get the litter box clean due to mental illness and mine and my partners very busy schedule, I now am able to clean the litter box before I go to work. it literally took me 1 minute to clean the litter box. I’ve cleaned it 3 times since it got here not even 24 hours ago because it’s just SO easy. My cats love it and it fits my 14lb cat and withstands his aggressive covering up technique. It’s made from solid material and is easy to take a part for a deep cleaning.I will definitely be recommending this litter box to every single person I know, which is a lot of cat people cause I work at an animal shelter 😂If you are on the fence about buying it, DO IT, ITS A LIFE CHANGER.

Saves time daily
This is a great product. I have a large and charming male cat that is totally deaf. He uses this and has had “sleep overs” with other cats and they use the spare one (an older model that I got as a “donation”). As others note the plastic grill is the weak point, but the basic design is great. It will save you hours on a daily basis. Just roll and bang the bottom, then put it back, pull out the drawer and dump into a poop bag and you’re done. I use Slide litter. Works perfectly. As I said earlier, I got a donated version of the older model and the plastic grill is coming apart at the seam. [ I also made the mistake of putting the grill in backwards after cleaning and couldn’t figure out why it worked so poorly. Make sure you don’t do that. 🙂 The next time I did a “deep clean” I figured out the problem and it works great again. ] I also fixed that seam on the older grill using duct tape (worked great). The best part is I can clean the cat’s litter in a minute or less and not get my hands dirty — both at night and in the morning. Which inspires me to clean it more often. About once a month, you still need to pull the whole thing out into the yard and completely clean it out the old fashioned way. Take a photo so that you put it all back in the right way. And do double check the clips to make sure it is all tightly attached when you are done (as others note if you miss one litter will leak out). I use the drawer to measure the new clean litter so I don’t put too much (about two drawer-fulls is more than sufficient; Slide is a heavy litter). If the creators ever want to improve it, they should find a way to make the grill metal. Otherwise keep some duct tape handy. I would definitely buy it again when these two wear out. The older version might be good to start to try it out, but the newer version is a bit sturdier (and the new clips are a bit easier to fasten). A very good product.

Easy to use, exactly as expected
It is a very good litter box. The construction was easy and it works exactly as described, and cleaning the litter box is fast and easy. I’ve only used one other litter box (open tray) once before switching over to this, and from the comparisons I can make, there is much less litter dust flying around when using the Omepa Paw Self-Cleaning Litter Box. Although it is kind of expensive for a box that holds poop (although not as expensive as some of the other self-cleaning ones), it does make cleaning the litter box a much less annoying process and I totally recommend it.I only have small criticisms with the design:- the lip designed to help catch litter doesn’t work for me because when I tip the box over to remove poops, the litter pieces fall to the floor. I found it easier to remove it and use a litter mat to catch the litter on the cat’s feet instead- the material is easily scratched, after a week of using it, the bottom of the litter box is all scratched up from me moving it a little bit here and there while cleaning it. it’s not like anyone looks at the bottom of the litter box so it’s not a big deal, but for people who like things looking new for a long time might want to not push it around or keep a mat under it or something

Good in theory…
Major not: Would not get for a large cat!! My kitten is 4months/4.5lbs and fits fine but I can’t see it being a good fit if you have like a 15lb Maine coon.I’ve wanted a cat for years but never got one because I HATE having to deal with a litter box. Well, I ended up with a little rescue baby and was so excited to get this so I could be done with sitting there scooping litter.OVERALL: Kinda disappointed. I honestly had to come check the brand because I thought I bought it from a rip off brand.Fairly simple to construct but it’s built VERY POORLY. Many of the parts do not align and are NOT well secured. My first test run the grate popped out 🙄 The back latch doesn’t align and I have to fight it to get it to lock. The scoop drawer doesn’t even close flush against the box and so litter falls out when you’re rolling it. Also I feel like it would be harder to clean because I already saw some pee smears I had to clean off (yes I have clumping litter) just during the trial run. Downside is I can’t use my litter box trash bag to make cleaning the box itself super easy.People are saying don’t expect much at the price point but it’s a $60-$65 litter box??! I’m not expecting a holy grail but I’m expecting a fairly secure product where the parts at least align!It does roll and collect clumps though. Might come back and change my review once I start normal use. Kind of want to give it a 2/5 but I’ll wait and see.

UPDATE: now april 2022. We are still using this litter box and have had no issues with the casing cracking, the lid clips breaking. It is still in perfect shape and still the best and easiest litter box we have ever used. We have designated a closet as our litter room and we turn the box back wards so the cats have to jump on top and climb in, this helps reduce the amount of litter the track out as they have to get out slowly!I had originally bought one of the expensive automatic litter boxes thinking it would be WAY better than having this one that required you to flip it on it’s side.But I had so many issues with the automatic one (NOT THIS ONE). Litter kept sticking to the bottom and turning into mud. The giant scoop thingy didn’t really got low enough and kept getting stuck. Plus the gaps between it were so big that a lot of poo/pee clumps were able to get through it or at times would get flung out by the force of it getting stuck.I tried different litters but gave up. Even aside from those issues, it was very hard/messy to empty the tray.After I gave up on the automatic box, I purchased this one and was incredibly surprised but how much easier, cleaner, and faster it was to use.You just flip it on it’s side, plus I give it a few taps to knock off anything stuck, put it back down, and remove the tray, dump it into the garbage, and put the tray back in.It almost has like a filter, and when you tilt it on it’s side, all the good litter goes through the filter into the other side of the box leaving all the waste which falls into the tray as you’re tilting further.Originally I didn’t understand how it worked but it’s a very good design. I just wish I would have gotten it earlier. It still astonishes me as to how much faster and easier it is to use than an expensive automatic one.

Cela fait plusieurs semaines que j’utilise cette litière pour mon chat.Je suis très contente. Elle est bien conçue intelligemment. Je suis satisfaite de ne plus avoir à fouiller la litière avec une pelle pour en retirer les déchets. Elle est suffisamment spacieuse pour mon chartreux. Le volume général de la litière est très correct.Son utilisation est rapide et pratique.Pour moi, c’est un bon compromis entre un robot hors de prix et une litière classique.Les plastiques sont correctement solides.À voir avec le temps.
