This habitat is a perfect example of how one can give a hamster the space they really need and not break the bank doing so. Hamsters should ideally have at least 775sq inches of flat space, this exceeds that with 875sq inches. I found this habitat easy to put together, took me about 35 minutes by myself. If you happen to have a hamster who is a chewer, you can always install tiles with a non-toxic glue. You’re really doing a wonderful job by giving your hamster this much space.

This was a great value for the money.It’s one of the more affordable options for this size, our hamster hasn’t been able to chew any part of the cage, it’s easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, it looks very nice and has plenty of room to roam.

Pros and cons, please read
This was a great value for the money but it’s not perfect. Cons: it’s hard to move due to it’s wobbly and the silicone rings that hold the slats in place break pretty easily (I found that thick hair bands are a good replacement- see photo), the handle on the lid is quite a large hole so we keep a book on top (also pictured). Pros: it’s one of the more affordable options for this size, our hamster hasn’t been able to chew any part of the cage, it’s easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning, it looks very nice and has plenty of room to roam.

wish it hadn’t arrived damaged
Sadly it came with broken parts. would of returned and/ or gotten a replacement but had no time so i had to diy some makeshift last minute fixes for my hammy. For the price i would expect better quality. I will say though, had it not been for the damaged pieces, i would have given 5 stars because it really is the perfect size and just what i was looking for, for my girl.

I love the aesthetic and and functionality of this! Very easy to assemble. My only complaints are my gerbil has scratched the plastic and now there are spots that are blurry and there are little gaps in the bottom that sand or small debris can fit through which can be messy to cleanup.

DO NOT BUY!
DO NOT BUY!!! I have had nothing but awful experiences with this cage! First of all the plexiglass siding cracked and broke and one day the cats were able to get an entire side open! It’s a miracle my hamster survived that. Then earlier today there was a terrible accident, I purchased a heating pad to keep my hamster warm during the winter because his enclosure is kept by a window and there was a cold draft coming in, and the cage caught on fire and burned through the wood AND the plexiglass. Please spend a few extra 20 bucks to buy a sturdier, and SAFER enclosure.
