Lasted just about 4 years without issue
I’ve been using this heater for almost 4 years now in a 75 gal and it’s only now starting to have problems. It still heats, it’s just permanently set at about 85 degrees now no matter what I change the dial too. Unfortunately for me I’ve got it in a cooler water tank. If this were a tropical aquarium I don’t think I would have even noticed there was a problem.The only downside is that the dial you use to set the temperature is not very accurate, so you’ll need to check the temperature with something else when you are getting it set. Easy enough to work around and an acceptable problem to me given the price.

I originally purchased the heater for my tank at the Barbershop. The product is EXCELLENT to heating a 75 gallon tank, is simple to setup, didn’t need the thermometer but was excellent to include as a set. I bought a 2nd set for my 75 gallon tank at home. Excellent buy for the price as well !!!

I should be able to give a 4.5 or 4.75. I just can’t give it a complete 5.0. This heater made a huge difference in my fish activities. My fish tank was getting too cold, and I lost a couple of little fish because of it. Thankfully, I received my product within 24 hours of placing my order. If that wasn’t a game changer, this heater warmed up my 50 gallon long tank pretty darn quick, saving my little fish and making my bottom feeders more active. I actually had no idea that my bottom feeders would become more active with warmer water.The only reason I can’t give it a 5.0 is because the thermometer given is not accurate. It’s actually off by about 5 to 6°, as you can see by my pictures. This is not a big deal to me, as I already have accurate thermometers. However, if someone were to buy this heating system and not already have accurate thermometers, 6° can make a pretty big difference.

DO NOT BUY!! I have had this heater in my aquarium for a few months and thought it was working fine. Last week my fish started mysteriously dying, I checked everything and saw this heater was burning from the inside and smoking.
