GREAT HEATER!!!!
I needed to replace my heater fast…I found this and decided to take a chance. I use it for a Red Eared slider. Put it together in a matter of seconds and turned it on. Works wonderful!!! Heated the tank up in no time – only have it filled about a third of the way in a 40 gal high tank. Mr. Turtle is very happy. I made an excellent choice!!!!!!

Digital temp adjustment is great
Works really well, and the digital adjustment is REALLY handy. It does seem to show a lower temperature than the floating thermometer, but once you get it set it stays consistent. Good value.

AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF FAIL!!!
Purchased this in April and it worked great until August. I was in the middle of moving and had to do a tank clean for my turtle. In all the chaos going on that day I accidentally took the heater out and forgot to unplug it. Less than 5min later I started smelling a burning plastic smell and thought it was coming in from the outside. However when I went into other rooms no smell. I come back into the room to have the smell 100x worse and see the heater on the table SMOKING! I unplug it and run out of the house with it and had to pour water onto it to get it to stop burning.I specifically bought this heater because of the automatic shut off feature and it totally failed. This could gave been a disaster had I left the room and not returned for a while.

the main reason I purchased this was to keep my Puffer fish from laying directly on the heater glass. It has a good weight to it, so my puffer doesn’t move it. in my 20 gal its perfect size sits right up in the corner of the glass it is made out of metal so its durable and I don’t have to worry of it breaking if it falls and it keeps temperature accurate to my on-glass temp sticker

Stable heater for a 36 gallon tank
This is a pretty good aquarium heater. Im using this heater for a 36 gallon bow front aquarium that I keep at 78 degrees and the heater does a pretty good job at keeping the water at a consistent temperature. The heater kicks on whenever my water drops down to 77 degrees and it turns off whenever my water gets to 79 degrees.I really like that the heater control panel shows you the temperature of you water and the temperature that you have the heater set at. It also has a red light that indicates that the heater is running which I also really like.
