Beautiful Tank!
I purchased the 5 gallon Pisces all in one Nano aquarium, and I truly love it. I was a bit worried this would this would’ve been a LARGE tank after seeing the reviews and pictures people posted, but luckily I did my measurements and hoped for the best. It came in and it was a perfect size and thankfully all in one piece! This aquarium is chic, clean and modern. Very low vibration from filter but other than that you can’t barely hear anything! I love that everything goes in one compartment towards the back which gives a lot more room for my betta!

You Get What You Paid For
Unfortunately this arrived with the glass of the tank shattered from improper packing by Amazon so it will be returned. But I decided to check the filter/pump mechanism. Some serious design problems. First, the water is drawn in and the first media it encounters is ceramic tubes. These are permanently housed in a chamber that cannot be removed so these will gunk-up really quickly and just stay that way. There is a shrimp and brine guard with a narrow sponge filter that clips into onto the outside of the inlet so this could capture some of the gunk before it encounters the ceramic tubes. But the real problem is the floss/ carbon filter has no water forced through it. When you place the filter in water to the proper depth the entire filter container fills with water equally across all chambers. The pump chamber which should only draw water after it has gone through the media/floss chamber simply draws unfiltered water that has entered through the inlet and flowed directly into the pump chamber. So, in short, the filter doesn’t work because no water flows through it and then into the pump chamber. It’s a “pretend” filter. Unbelievable. Save your money and spend it on a tank with a filter that actually works. The only thing that seems pretty good is the light which has a mixed white/blue setting and a all blue setting.

Its a little overpriced, most of the parts have better alternatives, and the light has no timer
The aquarium itself is great but basically all its accessories were obsolete for me, and the light not having a timer made it unusable.

Great look, pump is too strong
Looks modern and expensive. The pump on the filter is too strong. You can’t use the waterfall like feature because it will literally shoot the water out of the tank. If you point the pump downwards it constantly stirs up the substrate. Disappointed that I paid this much for a small tank and I’m having to modify it so I can actually put fish in it without it looking like the are in a tornado.

I love these tanks.
I really love these little tanks. I have three of them at this point. I don’t use the included filter system as I use sponge filters but the light comes off of the filter bracket and hooks into the tank independently so I do use the light without issue. I also don’t use the hooks to hold the lid that come with it. They are just a little plateform for the lid to sit on and is really difficult to navigate lifting and moving the lid without having it try to slip and fall in the tank every time. So I got seperate hooks that attach directly the lid and those work much better. Some reviewers have received broken tanks and this does not surprise me as the packing is pretty non existent both in the actual tank box and in the shipping box. The lid is just loose sliding around in the tank box. I’ve been lucky so far and have not received a broken tank which does surprise me as I did have one tank thrown onto my porch when it was delivered. 🤦♀️. But other then that these are a solid little tank that is easy to modify and a good starting point to customize. Will likely get again when I need another tank this size.

Non-stop rattling filter noise makes me crazy!!
The aquarium is well made. But a few things make it a bad choice. The glass top which just sits on four clips on the sides of the aquarium is a pain to access the aquarium. There is a TINY slot for a heater in the filter box but the only one that will fit is the actual Pisces nano heater which I had to purchase directly from the company. But the absolute WORST thing about this aquarium is the NON-STOP rattling filter noise. Absolutely makes me nuts. I’ve tried every way to adjust the cord, the outflow tube, anything I can think of but it only helps for maybe a few seconds and the loud noise is back. Noisiest filter I’ve ever had on any tank. I’m ultimately going to have to take it out and buy a new filter because it makes me that nuts.

Beautiful and good circulation
Used this tank to scape bonsai tree and hairgrass carpet with 5 male guppies. They LOVE it. Light is great, filter is great (i took out all media and replaced with sponge). Blue light and white look beautiful.
