Great addition for freeing up floor space
This is awesome. Exactly what we wanted.We run a cat rescue and are trying to utilize as much space as possible and with cats it does not always have to be floor space. So I thought in the shelter if we gave them some wall space that would help. I’m working on implementing more of an outside environment for them while it’s completely indoor. So this has come in handy.It’s sturdy enough and mostly wide enough for the average size cats. The pieces are put together nicely. And it shows well for public viewing. And can easily blend in with additional sets.It’s great for 1 adventurer or several cats just needing to find their own space.

Fun cat wall shelves at a good price
Fun cat wall shelves at a good price of $59.99.The set comes with simple two page set of instructions with diagram. They are not the best instructions, but are sufficient and is easy to assemble following the diagram since there are minimum type of screws and only one type of brackets. For non DIY, it will probably take 45 min- 1 hour to assemble all the screws and brackets and another 45 minutes to install anchors and mount the cat shelves.The wall shelves are comprised of quality and durable wood with partially pre-drilled holes. The pre-drilled holes were made without consideration of the carpet top, which was installed on after so I would not use the partially pre-drilled holes, but mark the holes with a pencil using a 90° ruler, or by putting the cat shelf and the wall bracket against the wall. This will provide a better fit when anchoring the blankets to the wall, otherwise you may have a small gap which will make the wall shelves less stable.The design is great as it allowed me to create the layout that is best for my cats and that fit best with my wall studs. The gray carpet color also was easy to match with my room decor. The anchors that were provided were sufficient to hold the wall shelves. The most important thing while I installed was to make sure that the adjacent cat wall shelves were a sufficient distance for my cat to jump between the wall shelves.This set of wall cat shelves will provide hours of fun for any cat and will make a gift for any cat lover.

Sturdy installed in just drywall. My cat loves it!
My cat is a pretty large guy (~15lbs.), so I was a little concerned that the shelves would be sturdy enough when install with primarily just the included drywall anchors, but that hasn’t been the case at all. When I did the layout of the various pieces I chose to focus optimizing for the cat’s entertainment, and just have faith in the drywall anchors. The result is that only a few of the support brackets are actually installed in wall studs, and the rest are using the included drywall anchors and screws. My cat routinely jumps between different platforms and sleeps in the hammock, and after a couple of months everything is still rock solid. I really appreciated that the kit included a drill bit sized for the drywall anchors. It’s not a big deal, but a nice touch and saved me having to match one up myself. The pre-drilled holes in all of the shelf components is also a helpful time saver. There are a lot of supports to mount to the wall, and each one takes a few anchors and screws, so installation was tedious but not difficult.Overall I’ve been very happy with this set, and my cat definitely loves it. The hammock has become his favorite sleeping spot, and he seems to enjoy lording over his territory from the tallest shelf of the tree. The only issue that I’ve had with it was with the little dangling mouse toy. My cat was obsessed with it, and after less that 48 hours he had completely ripped it off. He still proudly carries it around the house, so it’s hardly a total loss. The flexibility to be able to lay out the various pieces to match your needs, and the solid components, really make this set a good value for the money. I definitely recommend this one. It’s a bit of work to layout and install, but it’s well worth it in the end.

I’m reviewing ANWA 5-in-1 Cat Wall Shelves with Scratching Posts & Cozy Condo, Dark Gray. I got this set of cat wall shelves to add more places for my 3 cats to hang out in high places. It reduces stress for cats to feel secure being able to see the world from higher view points. The parts are of good and sturdy quality. They do require simple assembly, though tightening the screws could be challenging (my hand was hurting by the end). The design is simple and will receded into the background which is nice. My issue is that the instruction stresses the importance of securing these units onto the studs or risk them not being able to support necessary weights. However, these parts are sized to not sit perfectly between the studs: The little steps are too short, where the brackets are only 10″ apart, so will not reach the studs that are 16″ apart. So following their instruction is impossible with the actual measurements. I think I will have to take a risk and fasten them along one stud and pray the other side will not come off. I’m hoping the bracket fastened on one side offers enough stability enough to support 10+lbs of cat weight, plus the impact of them possibly jumping/hopping onto them. Price is quite reasonable for sets like this. For this reason, I’m giving a neutral rating. Positives of these being a good quality shelves weighing against the safety risks.
