The box contains 40 pounds of kitty litter.I have two cats and two litter boxes and have spent quite some time searching for just the right kitty litter. I am very happy with Arm & Hammer Super Scoop Clumping Kitty Litter. My cats make a mess when using their litter boxes and in the past I’ve spent hours cleaning kitty litter dust not only after they used their litter boxes but when filling the litter boxes. I am thrilled with how much less dust I am now seeing (and cleaning). The litter clumps together nicely for easy cleanup. The box size is perfect – not too heavy and enough litter for a couple of uses. While by its very nature the kitty litter box will never be completely odorless the smell is much better in the room where the litter boxes are – I no longer have to hold my nose when I go in there! Now if I could just get my cats to stop dumping half the litter on the floor each time they use the litter box everything would be perfect!I really like Arm & Hammer Super Scoop Clumping Kitty Litter.

Great litter. Delivered to my door!
I am a bargain shopper and found this price to be even better than Walmart. Besides the great deal, it was also delivered to door – I didn’t have to wrestle 40 lbs into a shopping cart, my car, up the stairs… Amazon Prime is a godsend for my back! While I appreciate the pricing, cost doesn’t affect my review. I rate the product itself.Stinky litter boxes are always a challenge for cat owners. After our son left the nest, we downsized, and found smaller places need even better litter options. This litter is good at controlling the odor from my 2 cats, and iIt doesn’t have a strong, overpowering scent, which I find refreshing. (I’ve had to stop using Tidy Cats because the scent makes my head hurt.) It also produces less dust than many brands, clumps well, and stays clumped while it is scooped. After using Arm & Hammer products for many years, I trust them. I will definitely purchase more of this litter. Just in case anyone from the company reads this… I wouldn’t be sad if you enclosed the litter in a resealable bag inside the box. It would be easier to scoop out of the box, than it is to lift the box and pour out.

Not perfect but it’s the best one I’ve tried so far in terms of how well it clumps
I was using Dr. Elsey’s Ultra cat litter for the longest time, over 2 years, until the quality went downhill and the clumping ability was causing problems (clumps breaking apart, causing the whole box to need to be replaced as it would get dirty and smelly faster). For a short while, I tried World’s Best, but my cat kept eating the litter since it was made of corn. This cat litter is on the dusty side (from the baking powder I think?) and while fragrance-free, it seems to have some scent to it. Other than that, the clumping ability is the best I’ve experienced so far. I love how clean it scoops, leaving barely any bits left behind. I’ve bought the double duty and multi-cat versions of this brand before but neither of them clumps as well as this one. I hope I won’t ever get a bad batch like some people have through Amazon. Until then, I don’t have too many complaints about this litter and will continue purchasing.

Clumps Well, Keeps Odors Away- Not My #1 Choice Though
Precious Cat is my go-to cat litter brand, but after Amazon changed to a new supplier (as they frequently do) that brand quit shipping to Alaska. So while waiting for Precious Cat to go back in stock for Alaskans I needed to find an affordable alternative. I did not read the reviews for this brand prior to buying- the price was right and I needed litter shipped to my rural homestead ASAP (or local store doesn’t carry any).We have four cats and three ferrets. Precious Cat is a natural clay litter- and that’s why I use it. It’s safe for cats and ferrets. I didn’t really read into this brand until I got it. This brand does have a few chemical-y things that may not be safe for ferrets. I’ll be using it short-term because I have no other choice, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anything but cats. It’s not safe for small pets.All of our pets use the same two litter boxes. Odor control is a MUST as well as clumping. It would not be economical to be throwing out huge amounts of litter often. Clumping is my only choice. The biggest problem with this litter is that it has baking-soda in it. And although this is safe for animals it causes two things: The first, being dry skin. Baking soda is notorious for causing dry skin. And in our dry Alaskan air, the last thing we need is one more cause for dandruff amongst our animals. The second problem is that it’s very fine so there is a lot of dust. I definitely notice more dust around the litter box and bathroom than with Precious Cat- a thicker litter.But this brand does do an equal job with odor-control. It doesn’t have a small, so there isn’t any perfume-y aroma. But it works well for keeping strong odors down. With all of our pets this is a necessity. I am impressed with this brand’s odor-control. It works for me. It also clumps very efficiently. In fact it’s a bit more efficient than Precious Cat. If it didn’t have baking soda as a major agent, I might change brands permanently. I just don’t like the fact this litter isn’t natural. My pet’s health means more to me than an ease of clumping.All in all- four stars. It clumps conveniently. It keeps odors down efficiently. The baking soda I’m not a huge fan of. For the price- it’s a really good deal though. I’d recommend Precious Cat first, but this litter takes 2nd place amongst other brands I’ve tried.
