I have always hated dirty, stinky soaked cat litter
I have always hated dirty, stinky soaked cat litter! This litter is the best! I scoop multiple times daily to keep it clean for my cat. It clumps almost instantly and keeps the litter box clean and fresh smelling. You basically cannot tell/smell that I have a cat. The box is in my small bathroom next to my front door that is my kitchen area. If this was non clumping litter, it would be a soggy, stinky mess, smelling up my entire 580 square feet apartment! This cat litter is great! Would not have a cat without it. I have and will continue to order it.

Clumps better than most!
I have tried many different brands and have found this one to be superior to the more expensive scoopable litters. The finer texture scoops cleaner and holds together wonderfully. I was wary about trying unscented litter, but my cats seems to prefer it and it holds odors in like a charm. With the scented litters, all I smelled was poop and fragrance, but with this I smell nothing at all. My cats thank Arm & Hammer and so does my nose!My goal is to provide a thorough review to assist others with their purchase, as there are many choices on Amazon and I personally rely on reviews when making most of my purchases. CAT SCENTS ARE GONE
THIS IS GREAT CAT LITTER. FOR YEARS I HAVE JUST PURCHASED WHATEVER WAS HANDY AND INEXPENSIVE. AS A RESULT OF A RECENT RELOCATION, THE BEST LOCATION FOR THE LITTER BOX WAS THE BATHROOM OFF OF THE MASTER BEDROOM. I OFTEN FOUND MYSELF EITHER FALLING ASLEEP OR WAKING UP TO THE PUNGENT ODOR OF CAT URINE. STARTING THE VERY FIRST DAY/NIGHT USING THE ARM AND HAMMER LITTER THIS ODOR IS NO LONGER. A LESSEN LEARNED FOR ME.

great product
The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because it came wrapped in bubble wrap that was so tight it was nearly impossible to get off. First of all, bubble wrap for kitty litter? Really?? And second, I had to actually cut it off and it was not possible to do so without cutting the package, too, and thus making a bit of a mess and almost wasting some of the product. Normally I would consider the bubble wrap a bonus because it’s a good stress reliever to pop it, but in this case, the stuff was covered in gritty dust from the litter, so again, a mess.As far as the liter itself goes, I have been using this kind for years and have found it to be the best by far. It doesn’t have a fragrance, which is great because I am severely allergic to fragrance and even if I weren’t many fragrances are toxic. I don’t want to expose myself to that, nor do I wish to force my cat to be exposed to it. Further, there is no need for any kind of masking scent in this litter, because the baking soda works very well. In addition to being allergic to fragrances, I am also very sensitive to smells, and I live in a small apt, so if this did not take care of the odors, I would not want to use it.Further, the clumping works well, so I don’t have to waste a ton of litter getting rid of my cat’s leavings. One package lasts about a month for me and I scoop at least once a day. And, I like the size of the package, as well, because many of the other brands only come in boxes that are too heavy for me to lift. 14 pounds is much more manageable.

best reasonably priced basic litter
Satisfied with the product. No smell in our case, although that might be cuz my cat’s not smelly in general (I know this varies greatly per cat ; ). Basic clay litter, does track but not excessively, non scent (which I like) but still has some sort of very subtle, but clean scent to it that helps keep things fresh smelling, even after all day use. Possibly the baking soda in the mix? In any case, it’s a good choice for my cat’s needs.

Good when it’s good, but inconsistent quality
I have bought this cat litter in various sizes for a while now. The quality of the litter—how fine or coarse it is, dust, clumpability—varies so much and so unpredictably that I conclude there’s a quality-control problem at the factory. Sometimes it’s fine, occasionally it’s unusable. Looking at the other reviews, I think the people saying “it’s changed for the worse” have gotten a bad box.The first photo shows litter from two boxes, bought about a week apart. You can see that the one on the left is much coarser, almost like small pebbles, hurtful to paws. The second photo shows the results when wet, and you can see that the one on the right clumps well, but the one on the left barely clumps at all!I suppose it’s fine if you’re willing to return a bad box every so often. When it’s good, it’s OK litter, clumps well, doesn’t throw a lot of dust. But when it’s bad, as in the box photographed on the left, it’s simply not usable. I urge anyone who gets an unacceptable box to complain to Amazon—pressure on the supplier is the way to force change and for Arm & Hammer to tighten up their QC. Some variation between batches is OK, but this much is not acceptable.

Arm and Hammer unscented 14 lb
I have changed from buying the 20 lb as for me it works out that when I empty a box in litter box I can cut the lid back and use the box as a container to carry out and dispose of used litter… This is another product that can be bought with a continuing order which goes to the USPS and that doesn’t work well where I live…. You can save on that method of shipping…. My cats don’t like the scented and I have really not noticed any odors from box or when I but it in the old box for disposal …. great deal and beats picking up and carrying from store not to mention the cost savings…

A little pricey but every other litter I’ve tried (and I’ve tried many) just doesn’t hold up. Everyone who visits my place notices there’s no “litter box” smell ANYWHERE and I have this litter to thank. Plus, it is ACTUALLY dust free unlike other litters that send a cloud of dust into the air when you open them.
