Love this feeder!!! I have had mine for 2 years and since bought my mom & my mother in law one, and wrapped one for our Christmas exchange party. It was a hit!! Great quality picture and video. Birds love it! I bought a pole to place it on from our local Wild Birds Unlimited store. On one side I put seeds and on the other I use mealworms. We have a variety of birds and the occasional squirrel. It’s great entertainment. There is an annual subscription if you want storage and identification of birds. It’s worth it. You can view the birds from your phone live or through past videos. Worth the purchase.

I never thought I’d get this excited about a bird feeder, but this thing is next-level!The isYoung Smart Bird Feeder turned my backyard into a live nature show — and I’m not exaggerating.Setup was super easy right out of the box. The 2.5K camera is crazy clear, and the AI bird ID feature is surprisingly accurate. It’s already recognized cardinals, blue jays, and even a little wren I hadn’t seen before! The VicoHome app sends me notifications every time a new bird shows up — it’s like getting surprise guests all day long.The solar panel is a big win — I haven’t had to charge it once, and it keeps running through cloudy days. The night vision is way better than I expected too; I can still see feather details even in low light.It’s built solid — we’ve had a couple of storms lately, and it handled the rain like a champ. Plus, being able to share access with my wife and daughter is super fun. Now they compete to “spot” birds first 😂If you love nature, photography, or just want something relaxing to check throughout the day, this feeder is 100% worth it. Great, would be perfect if it focused better close up
Overall, I love it. The app does a good job of IDing birds so far, and the picture quality is solid. Installation was easy, and the included hardware gives you plenty of mounting options.As of writing this, it’s $40/year for the AI bird ID features or $80/device for lifetime activation. Good value compared to the big name brands, even with lifetime activation factored into the cost.The only thing I don’t like is it seems to be permanently focused on the perch, and anything closer than that is out of focus. The result is birds look sharp and in focus when perched further back, but blurry when they’re actually eating (see attached video.) I wish it had a larger depth of field and/or better auto focusing. Not sure if this is something that can be fixed in a firmware update, but here’s hoping.

BEST BIRD FEEDER EVER. #1 Feature is that the camera identifies the type of Bird that comes up to the feeder. I tried attaching a photo or video and it did not attach .

Great camera and feeder, poor internet connection stability
Installation and set up went smoothly. The feeder drops the internet connection for no apparent reason. When it is connected the information shows the signal is strong- all green bars. No idea why it disconnects almost randomly, 2-4 times a day from 10 mins to an hour. The camera seems sharp and clear and the feeder stable and solid. I love the remote mountable solar panel and the extra humming bird and suet feeders that came with it.When it disconnects it does not capture and birds.

Bird Buddy wannabe-Great Buy
My husband and I enjoy watching the birds that visit the edge of our yard, approximately 30 yards from our house. I debated getting a Bird Buddy but decided to purchase a less expensive version. I’m so happy I did. My biggest concern was that the back of our house is on the second level and the edge of the yard is 30 yards. Our Wi-Fi has no problem with the signal. On any given day, we see about 300 visits. The picture is very clear. My only disappointment is that it states in the description that no subscription is necessary, which isn’t entirely true. If you want to see past videos, you need the subscription. But after several days of enjoying this feeder, I don’t think I will purchase a subscription. Seeing the pictures is still fun and sometimes I just have on the live feed.

What a fun way to feed the birds :).This bird feeder camera has been great. It’s provided clear views of all of our bird visitors and has been great entertainment!It automatically captures short 10 second videos and saves 3 days worth of footage to the cloud (this was a voucher that came with the feeder but will expire after two years and become a paid service).BUT most features are behind a paywall that requires a subscription. So if you want Ai recognition, the ability to customize video cooldown or auto capture length, or long term footage storage, you will have to pay a subscription fee.You can still access the live feed without the subscription, and can even share the device with friends so they can join in and watch too.The battery has been great on it, even through cold winter storms the battery hardly drains.The feeder itself is quite sturdy and well-made and comes with multiple mounting options. I would recommend the bracket mount on a house, or mounting it on a pole with the attachment.I have been using the Velcro strap temporarily while I wait for a pole to arrive, and it is not very stable or reliable for long term usage as it moves around and does not stay straight.The footage through the live camera is beautiful and clear! Really clear audio and visual! So fun to watch!! (Screen recording your phone works great here ;)The video that is recorded is not quite as high quality as live footage, and you can see a bit of a difference. It is still clear enough and really cool to capture funny bird interactions.The wifi signal has remained strong on the feeder, even through harsh storms while it’s mounted in my backyard away from my house.Overall, really great value for a bird feeder camera. I have been quite impressed with the video quality, as well as the quality of the feeder itself. The birds love it and we love watching them enjoy it :).
