Good fit for average size doors additional width available
These gates are easy to put together if you follow instructions. Very sturdy, great metal quality. They are high enough my cat doesn’t try to jump over. Great for rescue cat. For opens smooth with a lock. Good for baby care, small picket width, height would prevent them from opening.

Safe, effective, and a great solution
I ordered the wrong size, but ended up with the 61 inch. Actually it’s a 4.95 but this has been the perfect solution. We foster kittens but own 7 adults. The adults are not always pleased with the very energetic babies. Instead of keeping the kittens in kennel cages for hours at a time, the gate let’s me block off 3 rooms so they can go wild without fear of grouchy grownups.It’s pretty easy to erect, but it took my help for husband to manage. Leveling and balancing side-to-side distancing is essential. Patience is needed. It does stay open at 90 degree or more and closes if less than 90 degrees. The issue is the latch does not engage fully because the tabs that extend do not retract. This is a minor issue for us, but that lost the .05 in rating.A note on the seller. They are super fantastic. I inially ordered the wrong width, but they worked diligently to get me what I needed.I recommend product and seller.

Sturdy and functional gate with
Very happy with my purchase, excellent quality and it fit perfectly on my bathroom door. The color also matched well with the color of wall and door. It was easy to install and it didn’t take too long. I bought it to introduce my two cats and it’s working very well so far.

Awesome gate
The gate is nice exactly as described very easy to install. I think my doorway was at the very limit of the one that I had ordered and they had said that if it’s mismeasured, don’t send it back to email them and they would send you the extender to make it fit. I did email them. They did take my information. They said they sent something, but I never received anything that all being said I found a workaround the gate works wonderfully the cats can’t jump over it. You can get through it from either direction and it keeps my dogs out of the area now if the dogs which are bigger dogs push on the gate hard enough, they can push it open, but they don’t so we haven’t had any issues the not receiving the package is the reason I took one star off but other than that it’s a nice gate.

Just what I needed
This gate is sturdy, made of metal not vinyl, with safety spacing between the slats. It was incredibly easy to install in my bedroom doorway. I didn’t need the width extension bars which are included. Its height is perfect. Much too tall for most cats to jump. Just make sure there isn’t any furniture or boxes near the gate for a cat to use as a stepping stone to jump over the top. The gate portion opens and stays open without it slamming back into you. The latch which locks the gate works fine with a push of your thumb. Locks from outside and inside. They even provide a rubber floor protector that slides on the bottom rail to prevent damaging wooden floors (I have carpeting). The only possible potential long term problem may be the plastic gate lock. Repeated use (I’ve only had mine a couple of weeks) might loosen up the connection so that it doesn’t click into the locked position. Being handy, I could work around this issue, if it should arise. I’m very glad I chose this one instead of the numerous others I was considering. No screws into the wall or door frame – it works by tightening large thick screws with rubber pads attached at the ends. They even include doodads that you can place on the wall or doorway to prevent the securely tightened bolts from marring the wall or doorway. Plus the price was quite reasonable and delivery was fast. Good work, Lumizone!

A good height and decently sturdy.
We rehab feral cats. It’s a bit tricky, because we’re not a big shelter — just a house with some bedrooms. Our OWN boys were once feral, and they’re… big. Even at just 2 years of age, your biggest (Big Tiger) is 18 lbs of pure muscle and about as tall as a Bengal. We have some other tall cat gates that are about 57″ tall, but he can leap over them in one go, and he absolutely will if he wants to. We’ve had to resort to putting extra barriers on top of the gate to keep him deterred.We decided to try this slightly taller gate and see how it worked. We love our current ones — nice and sturdy, but we wanted something LIKE that but a bit taller. This fits the bill. We’re able to separate off groups of ferals from each other, but introduce them through the bars, so that they can get used to each other before introduction into the rest of the house. Being able to introduce them into the house to meet our boys makes it easier overall to rehab them into adoptable pets.This thing is JUST the height that it will deter Big Tiger from trying to leap over, and it fits our doors nicely. Very pleased with the purchase.

Perfect for keeping pets in the yard!
First MEASURE!! I measured and this item is perfect for my needs! I wanted to let my kitties in my fenced in yard but I have a concrete walkway between my garage and house. I didn’t want to drill into the house or garage to install a gate nor did I want anything permanent. This is super easy to put up and take down when I let the kitties in the yard. It’s tall enough to contain even my high jumper and the vertical rods prevent my climber from escaping. I use a device to hold the door and side together when putting it up and taking it down. The door opening is small but I like that it self closes and has the option to stay open. You do have to get the tension right for the latch to work properly but that’s expected. Best value for the price and extremely practical and functional for my needs. Keeps my kitties safe and in the yard while keeping the strays out at night so I no longer have strays trying to claim my kitties territory. I use it outside and will probably spray it to prevent/slow rusting. If you measure, set realistic expectations for price/quality, and take the time to learn the nuances you will not be disappointed
