This collar has really impressed me, After my dog broke out of his old prong collar multiple times I was at a loss as I feared they would just keep breaking no matter what I do. However after using this for awhile now I can say it has not broken a single time! which really impressed me. And its only gotten bound up one single time, I put this down to the fact the individual segments are FAR stiffer than other collars. Even though on appearance they are slightly thinner (only slightly) this combined with the opposing direction on either side rather than one continuous chain around the whole thing, I think is why it has never gotten bunched up or even come close to breaking apart like the old one. Not to mention the convenience of having a buckle so it can come on and off with ease, rather than raking the prongs over his head every time your trying to put the thing on him makes it a massive upgrade.If you need a prong collar, I would look no further this seems like a fantastic choice! I was a bit concerned by the design of the buckle on first glace, but its held up very well so far and shows no signs of wear or fatigue or anything so I have confidence it will last a long time, and even if it doesn’t you can simply buy a new one as its very simply attached to the prongs, it would take almost no effort to replace and only a few dollars. For my dog I ended up removing a few links from either side, he normally wears a around a M to a M/L size, so this fits him pretty perfectly, and I have links spare if he gets any bigger. So I would think this would work good for any M to L breed just perfect.

Good Training Collar, but Color Fades Over Time
I was very happy with this prong training collar when I first bought it. The fit was adjustable, the quick release buckle made it easy to take on and off, and it worked well for training my dog.However, after about 8 months of regular use, I noticed the black finish started to change to a bronze color. While it hasn’t affected the functionality of the collar, it does take away from the overall look.Still, it’s a solid collar that does the job—it just loses some points on appearance over time.

Effective but Be Cautious of the Links Getting Caught/Stuck
While there are benefits in the adjustable collar and it is effective in getting my dog’s attention from incessantly pulling, the weakness is in the link that continues to get caught in one another. I’ve used pliers to repeatedly unhook one link from the other, but the same link keeps getting stuck and juts out. I don’t want it to dig into my dog’s neck.

LOVE this collar! No complaints at all. Has extra links so that you can make longer with growing and can be shortened to your likening. We have a South African mastiff that weighed 130lbs when we first bought this collar who wore this collar up to 165lbs (currently). He’s a GIANT STRONG growing pup. This collar makes a world of difference! He walks like an angel on it and I have much more control and he can’t pull nearly as much. He is super strong and I can’t walk him much on a regular collar. We were able to teach him to walk next to us on command with this collar. I walk him every single morning and night daily and use this collar as his daily collar. We only take it off at night for bedtime and sometimes when he naps. Says not to use on a lead but at our own discretion we do. It has been amazing in that manner also(we watch him on the camera or in person when he is tied to the lead to use the bathroom). We can tell it DOES NOT hurt him even with the prongs which I was worried about. He actually LOVES his collar and sometimes whines for us to put it back on. Again, directions share this is more for training and walking purposes but we also used it daily and have had amazing results. This dog will one day be about 200lbs and I’m so grateful this collar allows us to train him in such a simple way. He’s been wearing it for 6 months! Re ordering a new one today because he just broke off of the collar from the lead saving me from being attacked by a crazy squirrel in my yard (True story! Lol) I trust that it wouldn’t of broke had its not been such a serious situation. My dog is insanely large and strong compared to most and I DO trust this collar. Photos attached.
