I was a little spectacle at first when I put this together, cause it seemed like the sides weren’t going to stay up, but once I put this in my guinea pig’s cage, it fit perfectly! Super soft and comfortable for critters to snooze in, and totally worth the money.

Easy cleaning, finally
Soft for piggy feet but easy to clean. Doesn’t trap hay like other liners/fleece. Clearly durable and seems like it will last a long time.

Snaps broke quickly
The actual material is good and soft, but the snaps that hold the liner into the square position broke pretty easily. I don’t know if my piggies chewed it or what, but it’s a huge pain now to try and keep it in a square shape. The idea is there, the durability is not.UPDATE: I sewed the two snaps that broke (like the sides are sewn completely together) because I really love the idea of this. My pigs love to burrow so I like have this down as layer one and then we do layer two of a lighter one and they burrow under the lighter one. That way I don’t have to clean the plastic under the one layer and they still get their burrowing in. I bought a second one. 4 stars because again, the idea is great, but the snap durability was a bummer.

Changed my life – son now changes cage all on his own (without being asked)
These are much better than fleece and U-Haul pads. With fleece and U-Haul pads, I had to help my son change his guinea pigs’ cage (kitchen liner twice a week, cage once a week). The fleece was floppy and required alignment and clipping (both require coordination), and the wet floppy fabric was gross. These liners are so easy, my son changes everything on his own without being asked. He notices they’re dirty and just swaps them out.Pros:- semi-rigid, does not require clips, easy to drop in and orient (no detailed positioning needed)- semi-rigid, wet liners aren’t floppy and gross- come cleaner than our old fleece liners (I wash twice and do a second rinse out of habit from fleece. Odor is not lingering)- guinea pig droppings sweep up easier than from fleece – they don’t get caught on hairs/strands of fabric- when droppings get ground in, they scrape of EASY (we use the edge of a serving-size fork)Cons:- none so farI’m trying to not gush, but these really have changed my life! Instead of big productions, the cage gets cleaned in a snap, and my son doesn’t need my help. I’m still the laundry master, but with him doing all of the other work, I’m glad to wash them up!

Size Problem
The size of the liners are a little off. My old cyroplast boxes / pens I had for my guinea pigs are 2x5s so I knew the 2×4 wouldn’t fit inside, but planned to just DIY cubic panels instead for my little ones. Though the liners are more like 2 3/4 x 4-ish. Its just shy of being a 3×4,(laying flat).Out of curiosity I looked to see how it would fit in my old pens and they were wider then them,(with the corners folded and snapped together) and of course shorter then it. When trying to use the panels around it it didn’t fit in the 2×4 area.Ended up keeping the 2×5 cyroplast pen and just added the liner / fleece extension area to accommodate all my boys.Was hoping to be able to combine the two liners into one big area for them, but trying to combine the two and make it fit correctly in the panels didn’t quite work out how I wanted. Overall still a nice product. The boys love it, its fairly decent to sweep any run off bedding up off it. No smell from it if they have urinated on it.

We just added this to our new cage today. I’m hoping it makes clean up a bit easier! It’s nice and soft on one side and looks waterproof on the other side with the cute design. Guinea pigs are messier than all our other small pets so we’ll likely buy a 2nd for when we wash this one. It fits the cage perfectly and I like it much better than using towels, blankets or shavings.

Although this is a far more expensive cage liner than most others, it is worth every penny. This has cut my cage cleaning time in half! Not only does it prevent leaks down the side of the enclosure, but the material also makes sweeping up messes so easy. It washes up very well. I have purchased a second one!

I belong to a lot of GP groups( Canadian, UK and USA) and always recommend Paw Inspired. I wash these in a light detergent and dissolved vinegar/water solution and the velvet material stays nice and soft. Calcium stains comes out easily and since this is my base, it is waterproof and has not damaged my floors. I air dry them to keep them longer. I own ALL the Paw Inspired products ( squares, mats, ramps, etc) in all colours and keep recommending it to fellow GP owners. Awesome product and the sewing is of a high quality.
