1 Local Time Setting 2 Custom Time Setting

24/7 Mode – Precisely Simulates Natural Light:The 24/7 mode on the fishkeeper aquarium light has been completely upgraded. Unlike fixed schedules, you can now activate 24/7 mode exactly on the hour of the day for a more natural lighting rhythm. Default setting: automatically turns on at 6:00 AM and off at 11:00 PM. One-touch activation for scientific lighting—no complex setup required.
Programmable Timer – Precise to the Minute: The controller features a large LED display that clearly shows local time and programmed on/off schedules. Unlike traditional aquarium lights with fixed hourly timers, fihskeeper aquarium plant light allows customized on/off times down to the exact minute—eliminating the limitations of preset schedules. Simple to operate; refer to the manual for setup instructions.
5 Weather Modes – Experience Different Scenes: The fishkeeper aquarium plant light features 5 built-in weather modes: Sunny, Cloudy, Lightning, Sunrise, and Sunset. Each mode simulates its corresponding natural scene. By default, scenes run from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with the flexibility to customize both on and off times.
Adjustable Color Modes & 10 Brightness Levels: Fish tank light offers 8 single colors + 1 full spectrum light+ 1 auto-gradient mode, plus 10 brightness levels from 10% to 100%. Customize color, brightness, and timing as needed. Note: Brightness cannot be adjusted in auto-gradient mode.
Power-Off Memory Function: The controller features a memory function: after an external power outage, it retains preset programs while the displayed local time continues to update in real time. When power is restored, no reprogramming is needed. If the controller battery runs out, the light still functions normally but loses memory capabilities. The battery can be replaced following the manual instructions.

    Very good for walstad method.
Light made with precision. Does very well for any type of tank that you have live plants in really brings out the colors on Guppies and guppy-endler hybrids. This light even as a 24-hour setting kind of mimics a long summer day even with a kind of dim sunrise and sunset mode.

Good budget light for the basics
I like the look of this aquarium light. It’s nicely low profile and blends in with the look of my new UNS tank very well. It’s noticeably bright and illuminates all of the display tank, which is about 11” deep. The tank I’m using this for is a nano 9-gallon (17.71” x 11.02″ x 11.02”) and this I think is the maximum applicable size for this light. It was a little difficult to get the light itself positioned correctly over the tank though because the metal holder things that you insert into the sides of the light fall out easily. It’s not a deal breaker but it would be nice if they were attached more securely and maybe locked when they are fully extended instead of sliding out entirely. It can also be difficult to keep the light in a constant position when its stand has so much movement. But I have to mention that it’s a peninsula tank so I have the light positioned vertically down the tank instead of horizontally across.Set up was really easy and although the controller may not be 100% intuitive, the instructions are more than adequate in explaining the functions.I’ve been using this light on my saltwater tank which is still cycling for a month and a half straight. The tank will be for macro algae and usually a basic, freshwater aquarium light is sufficient for its growth. Since the tank is still empty and cycling, I can’t comment on how this light may compare to others in terms of growth but I can say that a decent amount of nuisance algae has grown under it so I predict that this light will work well for my needs. It does have some unusual quirks though that I haven’t experienced with any of my other aquarium lights of various brands. The controller has a lot of light settings that you can choose from, and all of them function exactly as intended. But they cannot be combined. For example, you can customize the light color/intensity, but if you want to use the 24/hr light cycle, you have to go with that cycle’s programmed light settings. The built-in timer has worked perfectly though. Another weird thing it does is make an audible clicking noise when turned on/off but also upon each hour when it’s changing through the 24/hr light setting cycle. Also, there is no smooth transition to the next hour. For example, early in the morning, the light will be predominantly red, then the hour will change, and it will make a loud clicking noise with an abrupt change to the whiter light of the next hour. It’s not a huge deal, and I doubt it will make a difference as far as fish or plants are concerned, but it does take away from the natural vibe of the 24/hr cycle. When all LED lights are on in a full spectrum setting, you do get the disco ball effect reflected on the rocks/substrate of the tank. That’s where you can see dots of individual LED colors because there isn’t a lens to blend the spectrum together before it hits the water. This is common though with cheaper aquarium lights, and while it may be a huge annoyance to some, others may not notice it much. It’s exactly what I would expect for a budget aquarium light, and that’s a good thing. I don’t expect to see superior growth like I would with high-end lighting options, but I think it will be adequate to get the job done.

    So far so good.
24/7 Planted Aquarium LED Light by Fishkeeperit arrived last night, and I just opened it, read the manual, set it up how I plan to use it for now, and am writing this review (as part of the Vine program). I have over 8 years of current keeping aquarium(s), fresh water, and more and more into the plant (and shrimp and micro fauna). I’ve gone through the inevitable 10g kit start, realized the big box pet store staff advice about what would be ok in that was utterly wrong, and then Go Bigger bug bites… I currently am running a 75g planted fresh water with various neocaridina davidii mutts, low maintenance plants (but never success with stem plants for some reason). I have moved towards undergravel and sponge filters, and am starting to experiment with air driven water lift pipes drip into modified old Hang On Back filters with the impeller removed and the hole sealed, using them kind of like a combo of sponge filter and sump/refugium function with plants rooted in the water there. And that’s where this light comes in!I have a larger similar but different brand light on the 75g, and liked the option for a sunrise /sunset effect of slowly getting brighter and dimmer with moon light blue getting ramping up and down on the outer edges of that. My main light allows me to set current time and set specific on off etc times for the blue and day lights and brightness. I liked that a lot so I saw another similar light on Vine, and got a small version to use to help illuminate (feed lol) my Hang On Back planters. That one didn’t have as sophisticated timer options, more select thr length of time from several options, and press on when you want it to start (so if you’re trying to set it for starting at 6 a.m. you need to be there at 6 a.m. to start it the first time). It’s functional and simpler but less flexible than the option to set the current time and the on off times for things. This light from Fishkeeper has the more flexible options, which is nice. The controller part seems a smidge overkill large but between the straightforward design and well written instructions it was easy to set up current and timer times, brightness and color spectrum. I’m not planning on messing with the various single color options like pink because I’m out to feed my plants not make my aquarium a toy nightlight…I do like tbe aluminum housing on this for better heat dissipation than the plastic one on the more simple light I already have. The little leg stand thingies work similar to other similar lights, the long straight ends poke into tube shaped tracks in the housing allowing you some flexibility in how far apart the foot ends of the light are which is great because there is so much variation in tank frame size and stuff within even the same gallon size tank. I don’t think I’d use the light without a glass or plastic over the tank, having the light directly over the water in easy splash position would just make me too nervous, but that’s just me.The product feels sturdy and was easy to set up and install. When I moved it to the tank top from my seating area near the window where I sat comfortably while setting the time and timer, I pulled out the tab on the plastic shipping battery isolater on the controller. It remembered the current time but not the setting for on/off timer I had it on. I didn’t try the same thing with the preset scenarios like Cloudy or Sunny, again those aren’t my jam anyway. Im only setting it for about 90 minutes currently, as I chose low light plants for the HOBs but there isn’t much light over there so I figured I’d give them a little boost. You probably can see from my pictures I’m using it in a non traditional configuration, sideways vs flat horizontal but the leg/feet help stabilize it this way. The timer turned on correctly, if it.acts up I’ll be back to let you know.If something goes wrong or I get more excited about it after long term use, I’ll be back to let y’all know.

Bright, sturdy light with a useful controller
I put this over a 10 gallon planted tank in my office to replace a basic bar light that only had on and off. The first thing I noticed was how bright this thing is. In 24,7 mode it puts out a lot of light, which is good for plants, but on my setup it was almost too much unless I kept the photoperiod in check.Setup was pretty easy. The instructions were clear, the legs adjusted without much fuss, and the controller is actually useful instead of being an afterthought. It shows the time and settings on a screen, which makes it a lot easier to program than the usual one button guessing. The controller is a little bulky though. Not a deal breaker, just takes up some space near the tank.Build quality feels solid. The housing has a sturdier feel than the cheap plastic lights I have used, and it does not seem to get overly hot. One thing I noticed is the 24/7 mode changes in hourly steps, not a super smooth sunrise and sunset. Also, you cannot dim that mode, which is probably my biggest complaint. For a planted tank, this is a good light and the timer functions have been reliable for me.
