Product description

Why doesn’t TOP’s diet include corn, soy, wheat, or peanuts like other brands?
Soy-Free
TOP’s diet excludes soy due to natural toxins, which can harm birds when fed long-term, potentially causing immune system breakdown and organ failure.

Peanut-Free
Peanuts are not included in TOP’s diet because many birds can develop allergies. While they can be given as treats, they are not recommended daily.

Corn-Free
TOP’s pellets are corn-free, unlike brands that bake theirs, causing nutrient loss and needing synthetic vitamins.

Wheat-Free
Wheat is absent from TOP’s diet as it’s a common allergen with components that can trigger negative reactions, making it unsuitable for daily use.
Is TOP’s USDA Organic certified?
Yes, TOP’s Parrot Food is USDA Organic certified for its pellets, seed mixes, and treats. It offers the only certified organic pellet free from fillers like corn, soy, and peanuts, and uses only natural, organic, non-GMO ingredients. Made in the USA.
When should I convert my bird to TOP’s pellets?
You can convert your bird to TOP’s pellets anytime. The easiest time is when your baby bird is weaning, but older birds can transition too—it just takes longer.
Are TOP’s pellets a complete meal?
TOP’s pellets are a vital part of a complete diet but should be supplemented with vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds for variety. Feed as much as your bird will eat daily, discarding leftovers and offering fresh pellets each day.
Was TOP’s formula and pellet type developed by an Avian Vet?
Yes, TOP’s pellets were created in 2003 by avian nutritionists, including Dr. Alicia McWatters. They are cold-pressed to preserve natural enzymes and nutrients, unlike most brands that bake their pellets, losing nutritional value.
How should I store the pellets after opening?
Store pellets in a cool, dry place. Do not refrigerate due to moisture. Reseal the bag after opening and use within 8-10 weeks. You can freeze the pellets to extend shelf life, but use them within six months after freezing.

CJ –
one of the best bird pellets on the market
Best pet food ever. Organic, fresh, and most important Healthy. I feed my conure the pellets small, and my parakeets minis,But I have now moved on to buying directly from the Topps pellet website, because they have bundle deals. Which saves quite a bit of money. Especially If you have multiple birds with different pellet size needs

So impressed
I started feeding Zupreem natural pellets to my bird shortly after getting him (8 weeks old). I guess I just assumed it was healthy because it said natural. Fast forward 4 years and our bird started regurgitating his food. We took him to our vet and were told it was a behavioral problem. 3 years of this behavior and nothing we did helped. Our family has become more aware of ingredients and more health conscious in the last year or so. I was evaluating the ingredients and couldn’t believe how poor the quality was. I switched to organic tops bird pellet gradually over a couple weeks and now have used almost 2 pounds. I was cleaning our Quaker parrots cage out last week and noticed the perches were actually clean. No food from regurgitation. He had a small raw spot on his foot, completely healed now. I am so impressed with the quality of tops pellet and so happy to have a healthy bird. Also prices are better on chewy!

Quality organic nutrients
You get what you pay for.. and these pellets are worth the money. It may take time to get your birds to switch. However the way their made leaves more readily available nutrients for your bird. Sun conure, parakeets, and lovebirds all switched to Tops. Id suggest looking at their website to see everything offered.

Wow! Such a great food!
My bird LOVES these pellets! I was nervous about switching BUT she eats Am and Pm a handful and a half and I just hope she can’t gain weight! I also hope there’s no limit on how much to feed! I do fresh foods along with the pellets. She does eat most of the pellet with her foot then at the bottom of the cage it’s all chewed up dust like left over. At first I thought she was not eating at all but I monitor her poop and it looks great and A LOT! 🙂

My parrot loves these!

Small Parrot Food
Decent food. My picky eater of a bird has been eating it. Has maintained its freshness throughout use.
Autismom –
Simply the best
The only pellet I’d ever use for my flock. Read the ingredients and you’ll see why.
