The construction is uncomplicated, and the function is so simple that even someone who has never used a gravel vacuum before will find it easy to understand how it works. In a matter of minutes, I was able to get it to function without any hiccups and clean the substrate without causing my fish an excessive amount of stress. During that first application, one thing that jumped out was how efficient it was in removing garbage and leftover food, both of which have a tendency to get buried deep within the gravel. To my delight, it removes all of the trash without sucking up the gravel itself, which is just what I had hoped it would do. Not only is the suction powerful enough to thoroughly clean the tank, but it is also mild enough to prevent the fish from being stressed. My ability to reach every nook and cranny of the tank, even regions that were previously impossible to access with regular cleaning instruments, is made possible by this technology. I am now able to do partial water changes and gravel cleaning at the same time, which has decreased the amount of time I spend on maintenance by nearly half. My ability to alter the suction strength in accordance with the size of the tank and the quantity of debris that is present is made possible by the built-in flow control mechanism.
