    Works great!
We have a 20 gallon tank and it took some tinkering to figure out. The temp on the dial doesn’t exactly correspond to what the tank temperature reaches, but we got it where we wanted it ultimately.

    Heats The Tank Fine
4.1 stars out of 5 stars (standard rounding rules apply)In need of a new fish tank heater, I saw this one and thought I would give it a shot mostly due to having a longer cord and ability to submerge it, giving me the ability to move the heater to a different spot than where I had the original one. I liked that it came with the thermometer, as well as the heater aspect. One cool thing about the thermometer is that it states the degrees in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. However, I did find that it was reading a couple degrees higher than what it was set up (and actually was. I always have a back up thermometer in the tank.)This seems to be pretty basic for a fish tank heater, which I appreciate. The instructions were a little confusing, but due to the basic nature of the product it was simple enough to figure out. After about an hour I was able to get the tank to the temp needed to bring the fish back into the tank. The quality as a whole I feel is better than average, and looks to be like it will last a little while, versus my last one that only lasted about a year max.Compared to other similar items, I feel this one is priced well. The quality is there for a basic heater and while you could probably find one better the price may not be the same. I would recommend this if you are looking for a no fuss heater for your fish tank, and are working with a budget.

Slow and Steady Wins the Race!
Big fan! Product came well packaged and secure in the container with both visual and written instructions on the side of the box. Given that this was my first time working with an aquarium heater the visuals were much appreciated. While the information the box has their Delaware location printed and also lists their business location in Ireland there is a white sticker over ‘Made in China’. Spelling/grammar errors in the instructions indicate at least some outsourcing. This does NOT reflect on the quality of the product. I had no issues getting the heater set up and have been very impressed with it. Any writing errors are minor and do not cause confusion, in fact, the instructions are very clear about the safety and use of the device which put my mind at ease. Again, first time aquarium heater user and all my mind can see is ‘electricity + water = bad idea’.The product feels sturdy and there is no direct exposure of the heating coils to the water, my biggest concern with other models. I misunderstood the auto-shut off of 96.5 degrees as also the highest temperature the heater could manage. However, it is also not the 90 degrees listed but 93.The thermometer is a much needed add-in and a big help! Comes with batteries, water proof, with both Fahrenheit and Celsius options.I tested it out on an 8 QT plastic tub starting at 82.5 degrees. 40 minutes got it to 85.5 with cold spots. Swirled it and left for longer. About an hour and fifteen minutes later the tub was at temperature with no cold spots left. The slow warming is a huge benefit for any animals you’re working with but be prepared for a wait with stagnant water, even in small amounts. After leaving it for a couple of hours the temperature was at ~103, confirmed by a laser thermometer, and the device had properly turned off to mitigate the heat.Only complaint would be that if it is, indeed, meant to have a screwdriver in there to access a filter of any sort, it didn’t come with one nor any directions on how to access it. This isn’t a problem for me and may simply be a mis-print on the listing meant for a different product. If it means something to you, there’s your heads up!I’ll update if any catastrophe follows but thus far, it’s a complete success!

Effectively Heated My 40 Gallon Turtle Tank with No Problems
I received this 100-watt aquarium heater to use with my aquatic turtles. My turtles require a temperature right around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Before placing this heater in the aquarium, the spring water they were swimming in was right around 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I took the heater out of the box and observed and turned the switch on top that aligned with a predetermined temperature. I turn the knob to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, submerged the heater underwater, towards the bottom of the tank, and then plugged in the unit. This heater also comes with a wired temperature probe and thermometer. I placed this unit on the opposite side of the tank towards the bottom. After about five hours, I returned to observe, and the water reached 76 degrees Fahrenheit. I will have to reevaluate later to see if the temperature reaches 80 degrees, give or take. The instruction booklet with the heater also gives the proper ways to calibrate the heater if needed. Additionally, I like that the heater came with two large suction cups attached to a holder. The holder has proven itself against my curious turtles as they have bumped and attempted to move it around. The heater stays in place. Based on my experience with the heater, I can make a positive recommendation for other consumers.

    Seems to be okay…
Although this seems to be working, the thermometer came without a battery so it’s useless until I spend more money!

Works great for 10 gallon aquarium. An extra piece of thermometer helps very well to know what is temperature of aquarium. Previous heater had problem with temperature regulation and killed 4 glow fishes, but this one working very good till yet so it is worth to buy one . Thanks

Nice size but keep close watch on temp. I have a ten gallon. The temp fluctuates. I have had it a couple days now and it doesn’t stay a steady temperature. I set it lower than what I want at 77. The gadge is at 71 and the digital read is 77 or 78 on and off. So start it off at a lower temp and slowly adjust up as you go would be my recommendation so you don’t harm your fish.End of June now and it’s stopped working. I have tried adjusting the dial and nothing. It should have lasted longer than a couple months.Contacted company and they issued a refund promptly.
